Get Screened, Stay Healthy, Stay Alive

Camden County Cancer Coalition and the Camden County DHHS have launched an 18 month campaign!

Since April 2006, the Eliminating Health Disparities Workgroup of the Camden County Cancer Coalition and the Camden County DHHS have been active in an 18 month campaign for health screening for the six largest municipalities in Camden County.  Camden City, Cherry Hill, Pennsauken, Voorhees, Winslow, and Gloucester Townships are not only the largest in population, but they also represent the areas where 80% of African Americans and 82% of Latino Americans live.  General Health Screening with the Cancer Screening of NJ Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJ CEED) are joined together.  We are hoping to close the gap in quality of health screening and cancer screening for everyone in the County with a special focus on minority groups.  A total of 24 screening days will be held over the coming year.  For more information contact Ms. Lynn Rosner, (856) 374-6363, lrosner@camdencounty.com from CC-DHHS and the Camden County CEED programs at:  Cooper 856-968-7308 or Virtua 1-888-VIRTUA-3.
