Dick Wendler, Cancer survivor and great Cancer Prevention Activist died suddenly on August 4, 2006. Dick was our leader of the South Jersey Cancer Coalition, and an active member of the Camden County Cancer Coalition. As a Cancer survivor of prostate cancer, Dick brought his experience and his concern that more men were not involved in the campaign to have Healthy Lives through Health Screening and Prevention especially for Cancer. He was an educator par-excellance, and he brought ideas and enthusiasm for the Cause of Cancer Prevention at every event or meeting or discussion. We will greatly miss him.
