The Camden County Cancer Coalition is the county’s leadership group and network for helping to implement the first ever, 2002 New Jersey Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan (http://www.state.nj.us/health/ccp/ccc_plan.htm). The coalition has grown naturally out of the work of the Cancer Education and Early Detection (CEED – http://www.state.nj.us/health) Advisory Committee which began in 1997. The coalition has built on that committed membership from over 30 regular participants, and desires to recruit members from all of the leading circles of influence for cancer care and cancer prevention.
Meetings
The Camden County Cancer Coalition meets on a quarterly schedule during the year. We rotate venue between Barry D. Brown Health Education Center at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, to Cooper Hospital in Camden City,
Our Mission
The Mission of the Camden County Cancer Coalition is to effectively and efficiently support cancer prevention, education, early detection, and advocacy for all residents in the county to help reduce the cancer burden.
